Every piece we make begins as an idea in New York and ends as a garment made in America. Nothing is pulled from a catalog. Nothing is a stock blank with a label sewn in. Every Ambitionist bodysuit is designed, developed and manufactured from the ground up, here in the United States.
It starts with the fabric
Our signature Luxe Ribbed material is made from scratch in California. It is a blend of 92% modal and 8% spandex, chosen after months of testing because it does two things most fabrics can't do at once: it holds its shape, and it gets softer with every wash. The rib is fine enough to sculpt without squeezing. You feel it the moment you put it on.
Our cotton styles are cut from a 95% cotton, 5% spandex jersey. Enough stretch to move with you, enough cotton to breathe through a full day.
Cut and sewn in Los Angeles
Every Ambitionist bodysuit is made in Los Angeles. Even our signature thong bottom, the part no one sees and everyone feels, is made in LA from a 70% nylon, 30% spandex blend designed to stay put without digging in. Our workout sets are made in the USA as well, in a 75% nylon, 25% spandex performance knit.
Working domestically means I can be in the room. I can look at a seam, feel a sample, and ask for it again until it is right. That closeness is the difference between a garment that looks good on a hanger and one that feels good at 6pm.
Down to the jewelry
Our earrings are made in Rhode Island, one of America's historic jewelry-making centers. They are nickel free, lightweight, and made to be worn every day.
Why it matters
Making things this way is slower. It costs more. It would be far easier to order finished pieces from a factory overseas and put our name on them. But I didn't start Ambitionist to make more clothes. I started it to make better ones. Pieces made with intention, close to home, that you will wear now and keep for years.
Made, developed and manufactured with love in NYC and Los Angeles.
